recyclorama

While Mia surfed the waves in Hawaii, she saw that people throwing thrash onto the beach did not pay attention to the recyclable items. She found that there was a need for a recycling center and decided to open one herself in order to save the environment from all the things thrown away needlessly.

Your job is to work the recycling center by first separating the metals, glass and plastics from the waste products. When the red metal truck drives up, you need to gather at least 3-10 red metal cans, put them in the washer, from the washer click on the cleaned cans, move them to the compactor and from the compactor to the truck. With one assembly line of garbage coming down, it is quite demanding to move the correct recycling items to all the steps necessary, and when the conveyor belts are increased your job is more than doubled. However, that’s not all. Conveyor belts can still be tripled, the trucks increased and the cleaning machines and compactors added. Keeping everything going is a big ordeal.

Recyclorama is a challenging play with 50 levels in 5 locations where the play must be fast and furious in order to complete your duty. There are many awards and bonuses to get, but the message about recycling materials properly is most important and should be practiced daily. This is a great teaching game in addition to a fast-paced action play. Play Recyclorama and save the world from accumulating garbage and affecting the earth’s ecological balance. It’s Earth Day today. Let’s make every day Earth Day and do our part.

Spell-Jam Review

Spell-Jam

Have you ever wished you could be in the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC?  Well, now you can (kinda) with Spell-Jam! This game, sponsored by Meriam Websters, is the non-genius’ way to rise to spelling glory, all from the comfort of your home computer.

There are three modes in Spell-Jam: Gameshow, Tournament and Practice. The gameshow is like “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for spelling. You can choose from three difficulties (advanced is very difficult) and work your way up the money list. Tournament is a chance to take place in an actual spelling bee, where you can compete against multiple competitors, including other people. Practice is self-explanatory; you practice spelling.

The gameplay is basically the same in every mode. The Gameshow mode allows you some more options, like pass, vowels, first and last letters, etc. These help you to get past hard words or words you have never heard before. But, you have a set amount of these, so use them with caution. All the modes have the same four options under the keyboard: Repeat Word, Sentence, Definition, and Origin. These are the basic aids that are available at all spelling bees.

This game was kind of fun, if you enjoy spelling. I enjoyed it for a while, but as I continued playing, I came to realize how bad I was at spelling. Other than that, the only problem I had was during the Tournament mode, I was not able to go back and change typing errors that I made, making it incredibly frustrating and tedious (maybe that is what a spelling bee is supposed to be like). I also got a little fed up with my animated character who repeated the same three phrases (like “Fo Sho” and “Cool”) after answering every question. Also, when you click on the aids, the character is prompted to ask the question before the help pops up. This becomes very monotonous and bored me to no end. All in all, this game was fairly ok and I would give it two and a half out of five stars.

Egyptian Dreams 4 Review

Egyptian Dreams 4

Enjoy the mysterious magic of Mac game Egyptian Dreams 4 as you win jackpots and impress Cleopatra with your prowess. This Aussie style (based on slot machines in clubs and casinos throughout Australia) poker machine (pokies) is realistic and fun to play with many side games to enhance your enjoyment.
The play is to select your bet from $2 to $200, you hit spin and wait for all your winnings. If that much play is too much for you, hit auto play and the machine will do everything for you. Of course, that means losing your money (or virtual money) faster. Also you can change the number of reels from 5 to 6 or back again for a little variety. You go through your $2,000 (if you are betting $200) very quickly but the great thing about this game is you get $2000 automatically with the ring of a cash register. It’s seamless and you wouldn’t know your money has been replenished if not for the cheerful ring. After losing what seems like several thousand dollars, I started making the money back on the side games.

In Pharaoh Feature you get to select a button to see how many spins you’ll get for his bonus. The next row is for selecting the multiplier and then the wild card. After your selections you go back to the slot machine and it will automatically spin the number you had selected earlier. The big payoff is when you get to solve the Puzzle of Anubis. Cleo will pay you 100x your entire feature win. Wow!

In Cash Pyramid you start selecting a block from the bottom of the pyramid and you continue up until you get a scarab. The scarab will end your pursuit to the top. The jackpot amount is listed on the top right. If you get a scarab you win only the amount in the current row only. Also during your regular play when you win in the slot game, you can decide to double your winnings by pressing the gamble button.

Initially the game can get a little monotonous, but with the auto button available to you, you can sit back and relax while the machine plays for you. The bonus plays are fun and interactive with you making the decisions. The play catches up with you, and it is very addictive. This is a good thing since it is only virtual money. Even though this slot game is realistic, I wouldn’t get carried away and rush to Las Vegas to try your luck. I left the game at over $33,000 and never have I gotten close to winning that much in slots, but it’s fun to dream.
