Alice Greenfingers is a farmer and green grocer. She makes her living by selling her produce at the farmers’ market. This Mac game is a sim time management play for everyone.
The play is easily learned by reading all the pop-ups on the upper left side. You are told to click on Alice’s tools to start farming. First she must use her shovel to dig the patch of ground to grow her produce and flowers. To put her shovel or anything down click on the space bar. Afterwards she must sow her seeds then water when needed. The patches will let you know when Alice needs to water. Just click on the water can and then the pump to get water. The plants will grow and then click on the basket and vegetables or flowers to reap, and after 4 batches of the produce, her basket will be full and she must take it to the storage area. From there she goes to the market to sell her goods. The money she receives from her produce will allow her to buy her necessary farming equipment, seeds, fertilizers and animals.
The more money she makes, the more things she can buy from the shop. In fact, the shop keeper constantly pops up and offers Alice all sorts of goodies for her to buy for her farm. These goods can be anything from baskets, fertilizers, seeds, equipment and farm animals. Throughout the play Alice wins bingo games to ribbons for her farm products, and the best thing is she receives money for her winnings and in turn can buy more supplies from the shop.
Alice Greenfingers is an engaging and enjoyable Mac game to spend a rainy afternoon by yourself or with the kids. It not only is fun but educational as well. Be a farmer for the day and grow your own food.
