Science Girls 3

Prep school never looked so exciting especially when giant aliens are attacking the school. In Science Girls, join a team of quirky and brave high school girls as they fight the alien invasion to solve the mystery of these strange beasts. Use group tactics and the girls’ individual powers to make it through waves and waves of foes. An RPG game, decisions will affect the squad of girls, their powers, and the outcome of events. Solve the mystery of the school and help the Science Club save the day.

It’s been a while since I have played an RPG game such as Science Girls. The many choices of stats for the girls and places to explore in the school were a fresh change of pace. When monsters attacked you, the fighting was that of choosing attacks and tactics in order to defeat an enemy instead of doing them yourself. I find these games to be very enjoyable as the experience points roll in and your character gets stronger, which in turn makes the game more complex and challenging. It’s an addicting cycle that RPG’s offer and makes Science Girls a fun game to play.

The gameplay from Science Girls is very smooth, moves are easy to comprehend, and the main characters are energetic high school girls out to save the world. There’s a lot to like about Science Girls, but a personal favorite was the challenge that came out of extended play of the game. It became tougher and tougher to make decisions and to keep the health of my team high as more and more aliens attacked. I liked the fact that this game is not all about girls prancing around in skirts with freakish god-like powers. It was a tactical game and that is why I give Science Girls a 4 out of 5 stars. There’s nothing wrong with girls in skirts with god-like powers, there just has to be a little more and this game has it.

TC 3Take a ride on the Silk Road and claim your fortunes as the best trade caravan in the East. Tradewinds Caravan is a game that has you as a manager of a trading caravan that travels on foot across ancient cities buying, selling, and running errands to make a profit. Beware of bandits though, as your precious goods could be in danger of being robbed, unless you hire some extra muscle to fight them off. The Old World is filled with riches and dangers and your trading company is destined to obtain and conquer them.

Tradewinds Caravan is a game that has you essentially running a business in all aspects. You deal with important people such as emperors or priests that need favors from you in return for money, you have to keep a balanced budget or else the caravan goes under, and for security purposes you need to hire guys with swords or bow and arrows to defend the company’s name and stuff. It’s like becoming the manager of a business, which has to walk to cities around the lands to do business.

This is an enjoyable game. You get a lot of freedom to make as much money and status without a lot of confusion. Certain things that makes this game stand out among others is the whole managing style and the banking system. You can save money or take out a loan, all with interest, and all in ancient times. It was strange how complex a trading caravan could get but that’s also what made this game good. I give Tradewinds Caravan a 4 out of 5 stars. I need to start investing in rice and tea cause it seems like the market’s good now.

Many Years Ago Review

Sim/rpg manage your own tribe of people games have similar plays and circumstances such as an isolated, limited area and usually in a tropical setting. Mac game Many Years Ago is no different except there are dinosaurs! Boggo Volcano destroyed everything the tribe had going and now it is up to you to rebuild and restore life before the big lava flow.

The play is similar to other games where you are in control as chief and must make the decision to assign each individual their tasks. You pick your gender and attributes. The chief’s stats are differentiated by a mask in the corner that will let you know what you need to do. You must assign your tribe tasks in order to survive the harsh conditions of the outdoors. Another benefit of being chief is the longevity flower that prolongs your life. As chief you click on a person and then click on the area you want them to work. For example, you choose your tribes person and then click on the coconut tree. This will make the person go and collect coconuts from the tree and these fruits will feed your hungry people. Building works the same way. In addition, you need to assign people to chop wood and chip rocks for building resources.

The tutorial is quite good and will show you what needs to be done and when. Hunger, thirst, tiredness are the main needs of the tribe and can be satisfied by gathering foods, going to the river and sleeping in the hut. Children will be born to the tribe in order for the village to grow. The kids do not work so you must build a pen to keep the children in tow.

There are a lot of things to do in Many Years Ago and you will find hours of activities for you or your children. This sim game is a little easier to play than some of the others like Virtual Villagers or My Tribe since it is not played in real time, but the time stops when you leave the game. This, however, made events happen faster than the other games.

Mini games are the match 3 plays where the cat must reach the top of the mountain. You match 3 or more flowers of the same kind to destroy, and every match level you complete will advance the cat higher on the mountain.

Since Many Years Ago is not in real time and does not continue its daily life while you are signed off the computer, the action in the play is faster. However, when you do leave the game, you do not come back to finished tasks. This game is a little easier to play so may be better for kids. I give it a 3 out of 5 for the colorful background and the dinosaurs.
