Logic games are few and far between, especially compared to hidden objects, but when you get one, it’s fun to challenge yourself. Dale Hardshovel and the Bloomstone Mystery with its 100 puzzles will keep you entertained for hours.

Even though the tale is short and not a big factor in this play, it is comical with lots of cute and fun cartoon characters. Daisy discovers an ancient papyrus and takes it to her dad to decipher. He finds that they will need to uncover the Bloomstone in the Big Pyramid to discover what the symbols mean. Off they go to the Big Pyramid and encounter Anubis who tells them 100 puzzles must be solved before they can put together the Bloomstone. If you are in for the challenge, get ready for the fun.

The play is to move artifacts together to destroy and move on to the next puzzle. If there are more than 2 of the same artifacts, all must be matched at the same time creating a bigger challenge for you. Sometimes you must leave spaces for the last artifacts so be careful. The artifacts move only horizontally and down at vertical drops. You can slide artifacts on top of each other or fill a gap to move other items horizontally. There are stone blocks, crumble stone, mud, horizontally and vertically moving platforms, teleport in and out gate, magnet and magnet switch to help you in your play.

A mini game is a maze, Pac Man like play, where Daisy is running from mummies. You need to collect the keys before the mummies get her. This part of the game is a little clunky and really does not add to the rest of the game.

The puzzles themselves begin very simply but quickly become more and more difficult as the levels go higher. If you like games like Crystal Cave Classic or Zamby, you might like the addictive feel of Dale Hardshovel and the Bloomstone Mystery, because when you reach that aha moment when you figure out what to do, you cannot stop. Take a chance and give this game a try. I give it a 3 out of 5.
