Emily on her way to a television audition, wrecks her car, and she has no money to fix it. After whining about it at a diner (does this sound familiar?), Betty the owner of the restaurant offers to hire Emily so she could earn enough money to make repairs on her wreck.
There are 3 levels of difficulty for all you sim Mac players. Delicious: Emily’s Taste of Fame takes you through the world of eateries before Emily gets to her destination. This sim game has you flipping burgers (several steps with bottom bun, lettuce, patty, cheese and finally top bun). Of course, the diners all want their burgers differently. The soda machine is fussy and you must click right at the green part of the gage to get your ice cream soda. The waffles have to be baked with chocolate syrup added afterwards. There are many already prepared foods such as donuts, chips, and bottles of soda. On top of all that you have addition duties or favors to perform. A customer’s pearl necklace breaks and you must search for the individual pearls throughout the diner while meeting all your food orders and keeping your customers happy. Another extra is to meet the postman and take delivery of packages for your friend Francois. He gets catalogs of upgrades for the restaurant. However you get another help in form of Betty. She will clean up for you leaving you with 1 less duty to complete.
Delicious: Emily’s Taste of Fame is a similar play to the Diner Dash series, but I found this sim game less frustrating than the Dash games. The clients do not get upset as quickly as some other games, and you do not have to drag the customers by their heads to an available table. It also has different aspects to the restaurant scene with a drive thru, telephone orders, counter and table seating. The goal to fame and wealth is in reach for Emily if she works hard and does a good job. This game is great for kids and casual players with colorful graphics, cute story and fun play.
