Christmas in April? Yes folks, its time for Holiday Bonus. I know it’s only spring and most people have left the holidays back in 2008, but not us here at Macgames.info. For us, it’s Christmas year round! So hold on to your Santa hats and bring that tree back into the living room because the holidays have just begun.
The object of Holiday Bonus is to match three like pieces over specific blocks of ice to remove them from the board. Once all the ice blocks are removed, you pass the stage. In the later stages, the blocks become icier (more icy?) and have to be destroyed twice to remove them. Luckily, there are special items that you can use to destroy these blocks, or remove certain rows to make matches easier. Other than those specifics, the game is fairly straightforward and lots of fun.
One thing that I really enjoyed about Holiday Bonus was the music. It was very joyous and made me yearn for the Christmas season. The backgrounds of the puzzles are also awesome, as they have many winter wonderlands to keep your eyes at ease. If it were my decision, I would make it Christmas all year round.
Whether you are an avid match 3 puzzle fan, or a Holiday fanatic, this game will not disappoint. I am partial to this time of year (with the snow and the presents) so maybe I’m a little biased, but I would give this game three and a half out of five stars.
