Getting 2 plays in one game is a great deal in this time of economic unrest. Jane’s Realty does just that by combining a sim play like Build a Lot with one like Home Sweet Home. Jane’s husband is running for office and turned over his business to Jane. With her experience from Jane’s Hotel, she is more than capable of running his building profession.
The play is to meet the goals listed for each level. You click on a piece of property to buy it, click on the type of building you wish to construct and if it is a rental, click on the money to collect it. Don’t let the money turn to red or you’ll lose the income. You must build a power plant and water facility before you can start building anything else. In addition to building a house you must furnish it before renting it out. You click on the house to open the floor plan and click and drag whatever furniture is available in your price range. Once furnished and painted, you begin collecting the rent. This, unlike other games, the rent money comes in fast and furious. Keeping up with it can be challenging but you need the money for upgrades and buying more power, water (when needed), and property.
I like Jane’s Realty for the sim play and the action from building, furnishing and collecting rent. Reading 9 pages of instructions is confusing and unnecessary. The step by step tutorial is good and can teach anyone the basic play. Enjoy a fun, casual sim play for a good time building and selling houses.
