Jigsaw Puzzle Player – Paintings is similar to JPP – Small Paintings except with more pieces to each famous classical pictures. The average number of pieces in the 40 puzzles is 200 so this packet is more challenging than the small paintings (average of 50). Even though there are a lot more parts, it is enjoyable and can be relaxing. Just be aware that the 1 hour trial is for 4 packets and may not be able to do this sample puzzle due to its many pieces if you do not leave enough time. It will take you at least 20 minutes to organize and sort through the parts.
The “play”, if you will, is simple but with over 200 pieces can be intimidating. Moving the pieces is easily done by clicking and dragging. Rotating the parts can be done in several ways: arrow keys, space bar, mouse wheel. I prefer to use the space bar to upright each piece. The corner and outside pieces are usually what I attack first and then work the rest of the scene. The ghost image helps you out immensely, but if you do not need it, you don’t have to use it. I know many jigsaw puzzle people who would prefer to do without the ghost background. They just use the picture at the top. Me, I need all the help I can get.
I surprisingly find these puzzles pleasurable and relaxing. JPP – Paintings is great with famous artists like Rembrandt, Cezanne, Renoir and others. All of my favorite painters are represented, and in addition, there are a couple of beautiful Chinese paintings. This packet is very much like JPP – Small Paintings in artwork, but the similarity ends there. There are so much more pieces to the larger paintings, and is very challenging due to the small pieces and the coloring of each painting. Even if you are not a jigsaw puzzle person, try one of JPP many packets for some pleasant break in the day.
