Want to take over the (medieval) world just because you feel like it? Well now you can with King Mania. Take your knights and peasants and attack rival kingdoms to create the largest and most powerful reign. This fun RPG is both visual appealing as well as funny. The game opens with an explanation of why you plan on taking over the countryside, and there is none! The makers of the game decided that the game should be fun and not have a story, but do leave you with a strange tale about potatoes. The prologue also mentions kings taking part in war for fun, and that is definitely what this game stresses.
From the beginning, you can see the humor that the game possesses. From the story of the potatoes to the random noises that come from the villagers, this is a game that is meant to be funny. To start, you try and take over villages while building strength and eventually take over the enemies castle. Your castle is your paradise, you must protect it and can with upgrades you buy with food and money. There is also a wizards tower that can shoot charged fireballs at your enemy to help your attack. These are actually really important and can not be forgotten about (I did initially).
This was a great game. I thought that the developers did a great job making this RPG fun and interesting. The graphics were pretty good and all in all the game was a solid performance. I would give King Mania four and a half stars out of five.
