The name Laser Dolphin is what really attracted me to playing this game. The plus side was its made from the same creators of the awesome game Tasty Planet. Name and creator aside, this aquarium for your computer is not the usual peaceful gold fish or coral reef. In fact when aliens kidnap the prime minister of the world, the only hero the Earth calls upon to save him is a renegade dolphin with a cannon on its back. In order for Laser Dolphin to rescue the PM, he must swim across the Earth and other planets in outer space, defeating all his foes on the way. Each level is packed with dozens of obstacles like fish with cannons on their backs and mines sprawled in every corner of the ocean making the danger and excitement for Laser Dolphin all the more.
Laser Dolphin takes a very interesting twist on the classic game Ecco the Dolphin by adding guns and suicidal turtles, a personal favorite. The controls of Laser Dolphin make swimming a smooth ride and firing fun. Aside from the action packed main story, Laser Dolphin also has other side games such as races and freestyle dolphin tricks. Overall Laser Dolphin presents hours upon hours of entertainment and deserves a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Another joy of this action shooter dolphin simulator is the intense screams of my friend running from suicide turtles.
