Jack a small town boy dreaming of the thrills and adventure of the world experiences the joys of a remarkable amusement park in My Beautiful Vacation. This Mac hidden object game encompasses many different games and puzzles.
This game from the story, what little there is of it, and play has an old-fashion feel to it. The HOG play will go from searching a room to searching a picture in the room to putting objects back in another picture in the scene. Putting the items back in a picture is simple since the faint outlines of the objects are in the scene. Another HOG favorite is finding 10 pairs of birds or collect 20 pieces of wood. In this scene you must pick out wood in different colors of the background. There is the logic puzzle you once tried in school about moving the cat, mouse and cheese one at a time so one doesn’t eat the other.
As Jack you move around the amusement park helping out the caretaker by playing different HOGs in various locations and figuring out puzzles as you go along. I really didn‘t get the vacation part of this game, but I guess it is the amusement park. The game was not very smooth in parts and was too easy overall. It didn’t make me want to keep going to solve things unfortunately, but the artwork is nice and simple and the music pleasant but not memorable. I’m assuming Jack wanted to get away from his strict father and bury himself in the fantasy life of the carnival. The game did not work for me and I give it a 2.5 out of 5.
