Mysteryville Review

mysteryville

Laura Winner, journalist, writing a story on Mysteryville where cats are disappearing in unexplainable fashion finds unusual and curious characters in this town. She goes from person to person talking with them to clear up matters. The quirky characters she speaks to are all strange and suspicious but are always willing to talk to her as long as she does chores for them.

The play is to go to different sites of Mysteryville and help the proprietors search for their different belonging in a hidden object game. At the local bar the bartender requests you to help her clean her establishment by picking up all the wine bottles. There are also find the difference in two photos, find the items pictured in shadows, and seek and find games. In one instance the scene is in the dark and you have to find the objects with a flashlight view. It took a little while to get used to the dark environment, but it was a different kind of play.

Mysteryville involves you more in their story because you have to click when speaking to a suspect and read the conversations. All the characters you meet are just a little off and different to make the encounter more interesting. The puzzles are the usual ones, but are entertaining as well. I enjoyed the story and play. You can have a good time playing Mysteryville and discover the mystery behind this strange but intriguing town and people.

Rating: ★★★½☆
