As mayor of Greenville, it is your job to make sure your citizens are kept happy. Happy citizens mean happy voters. These days, in order to pander to what the voter wants, mayors must clean up their run down cities and start going green to make a difference. In Plan It Green, you take on the role of a mayor in a city out of date with the newer, greener technology around. By using city funds and many aids, you can revive your city into a green metropolis that everyone will want to live in.
Plan It Green has the feel of Rollercoaster Tycoon and the time limit of Diner Dash. It’s fun. Taking a broken down part of the city and making it more energy efficient or less wasteful didn’t seem all that exciting, but once you get into the game, it’s tough to leave alone. The upgrades are priced differently and yield different results whish makes you think as to which one is affordable or worth the price. The pointing and clicking is fluid and easy to understand as you go around gradually cleaning up the city and literally making the town/screen greener.
It’s strange how building parks and recycling centers while balancing a budget and building supplies could be so enjoyable. Time limits and limited supplies keep you from wandering around with upgrades and realistically do not allow you to help everyone at once. I truly thought Plan It Green was a good game morally and computer game wise. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. We could all save the world if we each become a mayor of a town and just go nuts spending taxpayer money on green technology.
