Righteous Kill Review

picture-12

If you were a police officer, would you kill someone who deserved to die?  Righteous Kill deals with the difficult question that many popular movies and TV shows, like The Dark Knight and Dexter, use as the plot.  Based on the recent Al Pacino/Robert DeNiro film of the same name, you are a detective who is investigating a serial killer who is targeting criminals.  It is your job to find out who is behind the murders.

The Mac game begins with an “I Spy” style hunt for different clues, of which you have a list.  There are multiple stages of this that culminate in different types of puzzles that help to make a case against the suspect.  These puzzles include dusting for fingerprints on evidence, piecing together ripped documents, and finding the differences between two pictures to name a few.  In these games, all you have to do is point and click in order to find the necessary evidence to convict.

This game could be fun for people who enjoy the “I Spy” series and those who like murder mysteries.  Personally, I do not enjoy these type of games, but it was interesting to follow the story.  The graphics are fairly good, a little cartoonish, but very clear.  The only knock on the game is that you can point and click on every item on the screen and pass the stage without any discernable skill.

I would give this game 2.5 stars out of 5.
