Spandex Force Review

Spandex Force

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Spandex Force! This superhero themed puzzle/action/RPG puts your newly created superhero right into a city full of crime and corruption. Only your vigilant watch can ensure the safety of your fair city.

The game’s main screen reminds me of a Pokemon type level. You observe the city and when trouble is afoot, you move in (click) to save the day. You are prompted by being asked whether or not you want to take on the challenge and the puzzle begins. There are three main puzzles that the game utilizes at the beginning. One is a match three game where you move rows instead of the actual balls. This takes a little getting used to, but becomes a lot of fun as you try to slide columns and rows into matching balls. The next type of puzzle is a grouping game. Again, you have to match three like balls in a group, but this time you click and drag along adjacent balls to remove them. The last is a head to head battle where in between turns trying to match three powers in a row, you have to do battle with an opponent. These are just a few of the many different mini-games the game has to offer.

I thought this game was awesome! I really liked how the mini-games were set up and how they played. It was like playing a puzzle game, but with other added side missions. You also have to level up your character and buy new powers to vanquish opponents and reach the boss missions. The only thing that I would change is to add more scenarios for the superhero to attend to. Other than that, I loved this game and give it 5 stars!
