Sparkle is like going to the movies and participating in the story. It is another matching and shooting at colored orbs Mac game with a lot of excitement involved. The music is so energizing it lets you know when to panic and hurry your game along before falling into the dark space of the unknown.
Darkness is rising at Crowberry Woods and the onus is on your shoulders to make things right. Starting at the Giant Mushrooms you simply shoot your orb at the same colored balls snaking down the trail towards the black hole. If the scrolling orbs reach the hole, the entire chain of balls will go down like water swirling into a drain. Don’t let that happen or the level will end, and you will need to start over.
There are 3 modes of play but 2 are locked and cannot be played until you pass a number of levels in the first mode Quest. After Quest , Challenge the fast mode is unlocked. The last mode can only be unlocked by finding the amulet.
The play is like all the shooting orbs Mac games and are always fun, but Sparkle’s special stand out is the music. It is reminiscent of the Harry Potter movie music with its mysterious and dramatic theme to the lighter, easy going tunes when you are not in danger. The artwork and graphics are excellent, but the music is what drew me into Sparkle and it kept me playing for a long time.
