What’s not to like about being the ultimate doom for humanity by being a cute blob? Tasty Planet takes on hit series Katamari with this loveable science experiment that keeps eating and eating. The digestion of anything from amoebas when the blob is small, to whole planets when the blob grows astronomically is crazy. The storyline of the game are cartoon strips that tell how far your experiment is going and how dangerous he is becoming.
Your little gray friend skims across the screen with the help of our mouse. This seems frustrating at first, but actually is a blast once you get the hang of the motion control. Gameplay is packed with not only eating everyday objects until the blob gets huge, but also solving puzzles and doing tasks that involve goals of things to be consumed.
Tasty Planet is a pleasure to play and review. The idea of some sort of gray matter taking over what could be the universe is creative and plain amusing. If this game was on the Xbox 360 Arcade it would do marvelously with Katamari fans that don’t want to pay full price for the game. Addictive and has fantastic music, I give Tasty Planet a rare 5 out of 5 stars.

alldaygamer – your review is spot on. tasty planet, while not as whimsical and eye-catching as katamari, is just as entertaining for gamers of all ages. note: i think you can also use the arrow keys to move the hungry blob around. i wonder if there will be a sequel.
