Follow the trying ordeal of Theseus of Athens who because of his love for Ariadne is destined to fight unspeakable foes in Mac match 3 game Trial of the Gods – Ariadne’s Fate. The minotaur is out to destroy Theseus with the help of the god of the underworld Hades. When Ariadne was kidnapped, she was smart enough to leave a trail of pearls so Theseus will find his way.
The play is to match 3 like items to clear the path so a pearl can be lowered from the game board to the bottom. By doing so, Theseus will advanced in his journey to rescue his beloved. Along the way, Theseus runs into many obstacles he must overcome or lose Ariadne. There are many different items on the board that will help Theseus or clear the board. There will be different objects introduced every so often to either match and clear or bring down to the bottom. If you match wings, you will get a bunch of pearls to bring down the board and move Theseus further. There are many gems to use as helps in clearing the board. The emerald will remove items horizontally, topaz diagonally, sapphire vertically, the quartz removes the tiles of the same color, onyx will destroy items horizontally and vertically, and the blue orb on the right will remove a few tiles.
The game can be played in 3 modes: timed, untimed and Ariadne’s Loom. The third mode is played by lowering the spool down the board to finish a tapestry picture.
Trial of the Gods – Ariadne’s Fate is a fun and enjoyable game to play. It is easy even in the timed mode, but I found it addictive and wanted to see what happened to Theseus. The cute artwork is funny and the music is pleasant. What more do you need? This game is not for experienced gamers who enjoy a challenge like Jewel Quest, but for those in need of relaxation and amusement while trying to beat the minotaur and Hades. Give this game a try and see if you like it.
