A title like Villa Banana sounds as if the Mac game would be full of crazy monkeys running around all over the place causing wild commotion and havoc. Unfortunately or fortunately, there are no crazy monkeys taking over the quiet and peaceful villa in this relaxing match 3 game.

In Villa Banana you listen to soothing ukulele (or is it a guitar?) music while playing a round of different kinds of match 3 levels. You move a fruit like an apple, grapes, pear, cherries from 1 location to another by dragging it to make a match of 3 or more of the same things to clear the board. You cannot drag your fruit through another fruit if it is fully grown and blocking your path. You can, however, move through a small fruit not developed yet. After clearing out the all the glass plates on the board, the level is completed. There will be helps like the multi-colored lemon that can match any fruit and bombs to help destroy some hurdles like locked chains, stones and different shaped game boards.

You move on to the sim part of the game where you can use the gold and silver you earned from the match games to furnish the villa and garden with items you can buy from the shop like decorations, grass, flamingoes, peacocks, bridge and more.

There are 2 modes in this game but the Challenge mode does not unlock until level 30. The match game is fairly easy until you get passed level 10 so keep at it. After level 10 it’s more interesting and addictive and with 60 levels total there’s a lot more to challenge you. However, for experienced die-hard match 3 players this game might be a little too relaxing, but if you are looking for something to soothe your nerves, this may be the game for you without a timer you can go far. The sim part about putting together a beautiful villa is just an added bonus and not really necessary for match 3 players. I give this game a 3 out of 5 for a pleasant time matching fruits.
