Waterscape Solitaire- American Falls Review

Waterscape Solitaire- American Falls

Do not let the name fool you, Waterscape Solitaire- American Falls is not a typically solitaire game. It is more like a mah jong game than anything. That being said, WSAF is a good and fairly original game that utilizes a regular deck of cards to create a unique and interesting card game.

The name of the game (Waterscape Solitaire- American Falls) comes from the backgrounds of each of the levels. Every background is a famous waterfall in North America (technically Niagara is part of Canada) so you get beautiful vistas to enjoy. Being an avid fan of nature, this was a nice touch.

The gameplay is very similar to a mah jong game. You have to match like-numbered cards to remove them from the board. The suits do not matter, but there are Wild card that you can use to match with any other card. The ultimate goal of the game is to match the golden cards hidden within the level. Also, the more cards you have left after you get the gold cards, the higher your score at the end.

The last stage of each level is different and is much like a game of spider solitaire. The object of these bonus levels is to match the cards in order from ace to king. You can make other matches to reveal more cards, but you cannot pass the level unless you do it in order.

Overall, this is a solid game. I was looking forward to playing a solitaire game, but came across Waterscape Solitaire- American Falls instead. I would give this game 3 stars out of 5.

Rating: ★★★☆☆
