I love LA! In Yard Sale Junkie you speed around on your jet fueled rollerblades combing the landscape selling off your valuables in the Los Angeles area to weekend garage sale warriors. I know all the locations mentioned in Yard Sale Junkie; a different hidden object with many puzzles. I even had many yard sales while living in LA so I identify with this fun, turbo charged Mac game. I think yard sales are a weekend pastime for Angelenos.
The hidden object game is a little different from the usual game because you do not have the luxury of 20 minutes to search for the items needed. You have buyers and what they want at the top of the screen, once you find the object you click on it and drag it to you customer to get paid fast or lose your client and your earnings. This must be done quickly because you’ll lose your buyer in a short span of time. Keep an eye on the clock and when you need them, the hints at the top of the screen come in handy. Also some items are hidden behind other pieces so you must move it out of the way. In addition, some customers will get you more points than others so keep an eye out for them and be sure to give them the prized item.
Yard Sale Junkie is an unusually fast hidden object, find and seek play with many side games interspersed throughout the game. I enjoyed the fast-paced mini puzzle of matching floating helium balloons to its customers at the bottom of the screen at the Santa Monica pier where you’ll find a fun park, and I liked also picking out the watches for the yard sale customers. This is a fun, speedy, and unique hidden object game based in the LA basin.
